Years of history and education
Founded in 2020, TADS Fashion Institute emerged at a time when the world, and the creative industry was undergoing global transformation. While many institutions were scaling back, we chose to begin. We believed that Ghana’s growing pool of fashion talent deserved world-class training, mentorship, and a space where creativity could flourish despite the uncertainties surrounding the period.
Our story began modestly at Atomic, operating from a small but energetic learning space. With only five pioneering students, the environment was intimate, personal, and deeply hands-on. Those first students were more than just learners— hey were the heartbeat of our early journey. Their willingness to experiment, explore, and trust our vision shaped the foundation of TADS. Together, we created a community rooted in passion, resilience, and craftsmanship.
As word spread about our unique learning approach and the quality of work produced by our students, interest grew rapidly. What began as a tiny creative hub quickly became a destination for aspiring designers who sought practical skills, industry exposure, and a nurturing environment.
By our third year, the rising enrolment made it clear that we needed a bigger homeone that matched our ambitions and offered room for expansion. This led to our move to McCarthy, a vibrant new campus designed to give students wider studio spaces, better equipment, and an atmosphere that reflects the spirit of modern fashion education. Today, our McCarthy campus hosts over 60 students, each bringing their own dreams, strengths, and perspectives to the TADS community.
Now, as we celebrate five years of growth, TADS Fashion Institute stands as a testament to what vision, determination, and community can build. From a single classroom to a bustling creative campus, our journey has been marked by continuous evolution. We have grown not only in numbers but in reputation, offering programs that shape designers who are ready to lead, innovate, and influence the future of fashion in Ghana and beyond.
And yet, our story is still unfolding. Each new student, each graduating designer, and each creative breakthrough adds a new chapter pushing us forward as we remain committed to excellence, accessibility, and the pursuit of fashion education that transforms lives.
